All-Native Faculty, Focusing on Indigenous Perspectives

People of all backgrounds are invited to join us at the 2025 workshop, which will feature an entirely Indigenous faculty, with programming led by Indigenous individuals and organizations deeply engaged in land stewardship, cultural preservation, and advocacy.

We recognize the significance of amplifying Indigenous voices and believe this workshop will be a truly transformative experience. This special event will allow students and the broader community to engage with the essential contributions of Indigenous writers, scholars, and activists whose work is crucial to understanding our environment, climate issues, social justice, and the art of writing itself.

For our 2025 workshop, we are thrilled to welcome faculty members Kimberly Blaeser, Thomas C. Gannon, Oscar Hokeah, Deborah Miranda, with writer-in-residence Debra Magpie Earling.

During our five-day workshop, we offer small classes with workshop faculty, panel discussions, craft talks, evening student and faculty readings, and a chance to join a diverse community of writers, artists and conservationists whose work is situated in, and inspired by, the natural environment.
